Thesis : Evolution of neurobiological bases of cognitive empathy in aging: Contribution of Optical Imaging
Description : The objective of this research is to describe the evolution of cognitive empathy in aging. Thus, it is to highlight the cognitive changes, if any, associated with these developments and changes concerning the neurobiological and neuropsychological bases related to the preservation of empathy or decrease of this skill in aging. These include examining brain activity via optical imaging during a task eliciting cognitive and emotional empathy and compare the obtained activation between the two groups of participants : elderly and youth. This project is therefore also part of the thematic of successful aging.
